Rental exhibition with 10 displays

The Danube Swabian Central Museum and the cultural advisor for Southeast Europe have created an exhibition on the culture and history of the Danube Swabians. In terms of content, the traveling exhibition is based on the permanent exhibition of the Danube Swabian Central Museum: “Spaces – Times – People”. The individual elements have the following themes:

  1. The Danube Swabian Central Museum Ulm
  2. The Danube Swabian settlement areas
  3. Migration from West to East – The emigration of the Danube Swabians in 18. and 19th century to Southeast Europe
  4. Life in the country (life of the Danube Swabians in the villages and work in agriculture)
  5. Life in the city (The life of the Danube Swabians in the cities and industrialization)
  6. Neighbors, nationalities (The inter-ethnic coexistence of the Danube Swabians with the ethnic groups in Southeastern Europe)
  7. Escape, displacement, deportation (the developments of the 20th century)
  8. New Citizens (The Integration of the Danube Swabians into the Federal Republic of Germany)
  9. Life in socialism (The life of the Danube Swabians in socialist countries in Southeast Europe after 1945)
  10. Europe after 1989

Exhibition technology

The exhibition consists of 10 display elements measuring 90 x 220. Each element is packed in its own bag, the 100 bags are easy to transport. The individual display elements can be set up quickly and easily.

presentations

The exhibition was presented in 2004 in Berlin (Kronprinzenpalais), Stuttgart (Neues Schloss), Ulm (Stadthalle), Sindelfingen (House of the Do-nauschwaben). In 2005 the exhibition was shown in Günzburg, Ulm (Sparklasse) and Heilbronn (City Hall).

Loan Conditions

The insurance value of the exhibition is 10,000 euros. Associations and institutions can borrow the traveling exhibition free of charge. The exhibition can be transported with a normal car. A loan agreement is concluded for borrowing.
