We are Europe - 2022

After the International Danube Youth Camp 2020 had to be canceled due to the pandemic, another camp will take place in 2022 from June 30th to July 6th. 80 young people from all Danube countries and the countries bordering the Danube have been invited. The program of the event is primarily based on personal encounters, joint discussions and getting to know each other. Workshops, excursions and joint performances show how enthusiastic and open-minded the young people are and how easily prejudices and barriers between cultures can be destroyed.

The international Danube youth camp has been inviting young people from the Danube countries to Ulm since 2008, thereby strengthening the idea of an intensive exchange between adolescents from different cultures – the future of Europe . What wishes and dreams do the young people have? What moves her? What do you care about? What did you work on together during the days on the Danube? Visitors to the final presentation can experience the answer to these questions on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 6 p.m. on the Neu-Ulm stage of the Danube Festival.

With the performance “ Orient in the Murder Express ”, the young people devote themselves to historical events and personalities from the Danube region and find a new narrative of common ground in which different views and mutual understanding are not mutually exclusive.
