Julius Kaesdorf

Saints of the Way in Osijek / Esseg

07/10/05 - 10/03/05

Julius Kaesdorf (born 1914, died 1993) has been working as a lawyer in Biberach / Riß since the 1950s. At the same time he was a painter, poet and philosopher. He became known nationwide through his painting: small-format, delicate oil paintings and drawings, which he usually provided with subtle, ironic titles.

The Danube-Swabian Central Museum presented pictures related to his youth in Croatia. In addition, the city of Osijek, shaped by the Danube monarchy, was presented, where Kaesdorf spent his youth.

The Ulm Museum showed a second part: Here you could see the pictures that deal with the Upper Swabian Baroque.
