Under the motto "We are Europe", the International Danube Youth Camp takes place every two years as part of the International Danube Festival in Ulm/Neu-Ulm.

Every two years, the international Danube youth camp invites young people from the Danube countries to Ulm and Neu-Ulm, thereby strengthening the idea of intensive exchange between adolescents from different cultures – the future of Europe. The young people from the age of 16 come from Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Romania, Bulgaria, the Ukraine and Moldova. Under the motto “We are Europe”, they acquire qualifications and knowledge during the project that go far beyond the usual school education. Above all, this includes awareness and knowledge of one’s own historical and cultural origins. The aim of the youth camp is for the young adults to engage in dialogue and meet as equals. Workshops, excursions and joint performances show how enthusiastic and open-minded the young people are and how easily prejudices and barriers between cultures can be overcome.

International Danube Youth Camp 2022

80 young people from all Danube countries and the countries bordering the Danube are invited back to the camp from June 30th to July 6th.
