The Hungarian Uprising in Literature

23.09.16 - 06.11.16

Sixty years after its failure, the Hungarian revolution has become part of the European culture of remembrance. Events are not only commemorated at official events, but also – often in a subtle, complex way – in scientific, literary and journalistic publications. A surprising number of them appeared in German. The cabinet exhibition invited visitors to discover these works and learn more about their authors.

An exhibition of the Ehinger Library Hungarian Literature.
