Beautiful new world

Migrants - dream houses

06/28/18 - 10/28/2018

An exhibition about the unknown side of labor migration within Europe.

Women and men leave their relatives behind in Romania, Serbia or Croatia in order to secure their livelihood in Germany, Italy or Spain. They live frugally, send money to their families and invest the rest in building a house in their hometown. This house testifies to their courage and success – but it remains uninhabited for most of the year.
