They were created in 1917 and 1918 on the Eastern Front and in various hospitals. In addition, the exhibition provided information about the war in south-eastern Europe and about the private side of the soldiers, which is reflected in the field postcards. The consequences of the First World War for the Danube Swabians were also highlighted.

The painter, photographer, typographer and set designer László Moholy-Nagy (* Bácsborsód 1895, † 1946 Chicago) was a teacher at the Bauhaus in Weimar and Dessau, and founder of the New Bauhaus and the School of Design in Chicago.

When he was called up for military service in the Hungarian army in 1915, he drew the everyday life of the soldiers on 350 field postcards that he sent to friends in Budapest.

The exhibited field postcards by László Moholy-Nagy are owned by the Hungarian Látványtár Art Foundation & Collection.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[291
post-109402","portfolio","type-portfolio","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","portfolio_category-special-exhibitions-archive
["GET
