Tips as grades? Woven and played? The exhibition combined folk art, design and music, made use of different media and communicated on different levels. An experimental work of art that appealed to several senses at the same time.

The idea behind the “Soundweaving” project was to generate melodies from traditional embroidery motifs using lace patterns. Works based on the weaving patterns of Danube-Swabian children’s cloths from the DZM collection were also created according to this principle, especially for the exhibition. In addition, the opposite approach was taken for the first time, namely to transform songs into textile patterns.

The “Soundweaving” project was created at the Moholy-Nagy University for Art and Design (MOME) in Budapest. The designer Zsanett Szirmay converted the traditional embroidery and weaving patterns into lace patterns. The composer Bálint Tárkány-Kovács and the jazz musician Dániel Vikukel contributed to the tonal transformation.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image media=”104141″ media_width_percent=”69″ uncode_shortcode_id=”134199″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image media=”104144″ media_width_percent=”100″ uncode_shortcode_id=”126648″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[291
post-109386","portfolio","type-portfolio","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","portfolio_category-special-exhibitions-archive
["GET
