Exhibition "Art on the River"

March 17 - April 10, 2022 in Pécsi Galéria, Pécs/Hungary

As a result of the pandemic, the 2021 art project experienced an extended hiatus. The project is now to be continued with the exhibition in Pécs/Hungary.

“Art on the River” brings together artistic positions, artists and curators from the Danube region and is created in the spirit of closer cooperation between the Danube countries. The aim of the project is the presentation of various art positions from the Danube countries, which will be shown in a traveling exhibition in the years 2020-2022. In addition, artists and curators will repeatedly meet, exchange ideas and form networks within the framework of symposia and in particular within the framework of the two European Capitals of Culture Novi Sad 2022 and preparations for the Capital of Culture Timisoara 2023.

As part of “Art on the Current” we work together with curators from the following countries: Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria. The project is supported by the Museum Ulm and co-financed by the following cooperation partners: Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of the State of Baden-Württemberg, Baden-Württemberg Foundation, Danube Office Ulm/Neu-Ulm and Cultural Officer for the Danube Region at the Danube Swabian Central Museum Ulm.
